Jordan P asked:

OK so you know how the presidential candidates are pushing for national health care?
Won’t that be really expensive and rack up tax prices?

There is quite the expense to running a country.

There is quite the budget as well.

Priorities is where it is at.

Do we want to spend money on killing people or healing people? Iraq is costing 9 billion a month. How much health care will that buy and how much employment will that create?

All “western” countries with the exception of the USA have gov health care. Why are Americans not cared for by their country the way people in other western countries are cared for?

Going extremely right or extremely left is not ideal. Usually, a mid point is the best solution.

America is the most right leaning country while Cuba is one of the most left leaning countries. A mid point between the two systems would be a good starting point.

Or, emulate Germany. For some reason, Germany is able to provide health care to all, affordable education, a great life style, and a minimum of 4 weeks holidays. Their economy is doing great. Their products are sought. This is after they have been defeated in the biggest war of all time about 60 years ago.

Germany absorbed East Germany when the wall came tumbling down. That was quite the expense. Yet they are prospering. Perhaps making choices based on what is best for the people rather than what is best for a select few is the way to go.

      Edit

Hey roger c. I live in a country where we have gov health care. It is not ideal. But given a choice I would rather live in a country where getting sick will not bankrupt me or kill me because of lack of funds. Does that make any sense tto you?

Furthermore, our per capita public debt is less than America’s and we have governent health care go figure.
