Healthcare - free at the point of delivery?

I recently asked a ? as to why people seek health advice here on Y-A rather than going to a doctor & it really opened my eyes.
I’m English, spent most of my life in England, 18 months in Tenerife, now live in Germany. In each of these countries, healthcare is free (or as good as) at the point of delivery. Everyone pays in advance for their healthcare, straight out of their wages & for those on benefit, the benefits office pays for you.
I knew Americans had to pay for their healthcare, but didn’t realise how big a problem that is for so many people.
Everyone should be entitled to healthcare, irrespective of their financial status - that should be a basic human right.
Here in Germany, we have to pay 10Euros every quarter & the government now want us to pay 5Euros for every visit to the doctor. This is taking Germany in the wrong direction - if they carry on this way, Germany’s healthcare will be like that in America. Not really a question, I know, but I would like your views.

I’m scared that the same will go - eventually , possibly ? - the same in Canada.
