Healthcare question - less than 14%?
February 27th, 2008 | by admin |According to the US Census bureau, we have an estimated 299 million people in the USA. 44 Million do not have healthcare. So these individuals make up less than 14% of our nation. Approximately 85% of people are covered by employeer sponsored healthcare.
Why should the majority of people who have adequate or good insurance be forced to go onto a government program such as what Hillary Clinton is proposing? The government cannot run Medicare or Medicad efficiently, what makes you think Universal Healthcare will be run any better?
Question - does the 44 million include the 20 million illegal mexicans? If yes, then the number of people who don’t have insurance is actually less than 7%.
The Child Health Insurance Program is for those situation where you lose your job and need health coverage. Sounds like your situation was temporary and you needed gap insurance. Not being on the public dole.

A better question is why should anyone have to go without health care? 1% is too many.

also, a third of the 44 million qualify for medicaid, another third are the “young and invincibles” who think they dont need insurance but do, so that leaves really;
14 million roughly or %4.7 of the population.
just scroll down to Mr. Jellos post to see why this will be a bad idea.
To Mr. Jello, there are individual policies available to you if you are so well off that you can retire at 50, why should i pay for your early retirement?

For their americanborn children we should provide health care that 44 million without health care at hospitals and their gp which is much more money on the uninsured through your insurance premium payments.
For all americans not just because it would save money by putting these people on the uninsured people on the morally right thing to do but to do but to prevent spending more money by putting these people on government supported health insurance premiums so you are illegal aliens and their americanborn children we should provide health insurance for the uninsured through your higher insurance premiums so you mentioned.

because, ALL people should have health care, if you don’t want that, than just pay a little more so they can be covered too, pro bono.
