He can’t. Period. Universal health care is absolutely horrible, and if people knew just what that is, there is no way they would be in favor of it. It’s a terrible dream that can’t come true.

Obama is not advocating strictly universal healthcare - rather a system where healthcare in America is accessible and affordable with safety nets for some who cannot afford it.
Marina - every other developed nation has universal healthcare. And every one of them produces a healthier population than the USA. We have the lowest life expectancy in the developed world, the second lowest healthy life expectancy and the highest child mortality and yet they pay half per capita what we do on average.
