Well most of those countries also gave away their industrial might. Anyway conservatives in those countries are fore socialized health care just like their millitary. Besides, we are American we can do it better then they do, right? Don`t sell us short.

Socialized healthcare will eliminate competition in the medical marketplace and therefore cause workers to be less concerned with pleasing the consumer. AKA the doctors wont be worried about losing our business, and will care even less then they do now. Just like with rent control, and price controls, once the government steps in, things will go downhill and create more bad than good. Socialism is great in theory but in practice it is a much different ballgame.
